DONATED RELIEF SUPPORT TO THE VICTIMS OF APPIATSE BOGOSO IN WESTERN REGION, GHANA

The Explosive Disaster that claimed many lives on a hot noon day of Thursday, 20th January, 2022 at Apiatse, Bogoso in Western Region occurred as a result of a motorbike crashing on a truck carrying explosive dynamite which caught with hazardous explosions and wiped out the entire community of Apiatse, Bogoso.
The truck carrying the mining explosive dynamite is owned by a Spanish company in Ghana.
This degree of devastation has claimed more than 12 lives, many injured and hundreds of thousands were rendered homeless.
After the blast, eyewitnesses reported that human remains were all over the place and the corpse cannot be easily identified by the people in the area which will result in mass burial of the remains.

The Ministry of Land and Natural Resources has suspended the Spanish company for operations at the moment pending when the proper investigation will be carried out to ascertain the root cause of the explosion.
The police commended the efforts of the truck driver who alerted the Apiatse community residence to leave the area before the explosive detonated.
The people who lost their family members came back to the scene with agony.

COVID-19 RELIEF SUPPORT TO KETU SOUTH, VOLTA REGION

The Ketu South Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Elliot Edem Agbenorwu has congratulated De Colours Foundation COVID 19 TEAM for their kind gesture to the municipal to over 300 vulnerable persons with disables who were privileged to receive food items such as rice, beans, garri and condiments and also bibles due to the hardship the COVID 19 pandemic have posed at this trial time. Also supplied Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as Face Mask, Sanitizers, Soaps and customized buckets for washing of hands.

Hon. Elliot Edem Agbernowu sensitized the people on how to make use of the PPE provided by the foundation and was overwhelmed and grateful to Pastor Donatus Okocha, the President of the foundation and his team saying that since the pandemic started, De Colours Foundation was the only humanitarian organization that have come to distribute a support relief in the area.

He advised that if the Foreign Donors and agencies who support this course will be able to work with De Colours Foundation, then the whole Ghana will feel the impact the foundation is making at the moment and therefore, added that the Municipal Assembly will present an Appreciation letter for Recognizing the Foundation to any Donor who wants to support the organization for the betterment of Ghanaians.
